Why this page exists
In researching this product, the single most repeated complaint we found -- across app store reviews, forum threads, and community discussions about the tools leagues already use -- wasn't about missing features. It was about being sold to on a tool someone already pays for: "you have to pay to even see the stats," a parent paying $10 a month just to watch a kid's game, an "Ultra" subscriber whose family still gets ads. That pattern showed up independently across every source we looked at. It's the strongest, most consistent signal in the research behind this product.
So this isn't a marketing line. It's the answer to the loudest complaint we found, and it's why the product is built this way -- see section 5 of our Terms of Service. This page explains it in plain language; the Terms are where it actually binds us.
What we commit to
Three things, on every plan, with no exceptions written elsewhere that take them back. We are not calling them permanent -- see "If this ever changes" at the end of this page -- but they are what LeagueBucket is today, on every tier, and they are in the Terms rather than only here:
No third-party advertising
We do not run ads on LeagueBucket, on any plan. Not banner ads, not sponsored content we sell, not ad networks tracking you across our pages. If your league is on the Free plan, you see exactly the same ad-free product as a league paying for League Pro.
The one thing this doesn't cover: if a league's own commissioner chooses to use our Sponsor Kit to display a local business that sponsors their league -- a bar sponsoring trivia night, say -- that's the league's own choice about the league's own sponsor relationship, not us selling ad space. It's off by default, the commissioner controls it, and it's a different thing from a third party paying us to put ads in front of you.
No sale of member data
Your information -- your name, your contact details, your stats -- is used to run your league on LeagueBucket. It is not sold, rented, or traded to advertisers or data brokers, on any plan.
No paywalling of stats
If you're a member, player, parent, or spectator in a league on LeagueBucket, every stat, standing, schedule, and result for that league is free for you to see, on every plan. Plan tiers govern what a commissioner can do (create extra seasons, send more messages, collect dues); they never govern what you, as a member, can see. A grandparent following a grandkid's team will never hit a paywall to check the score.
If this ever changes
We are not going to promise you forever. LeagueBucket is a new company that has not yet earned a dollar, and a business that swears something is permanent before it knows how it will make money is either guessing or hoping you won't check later.
Here is what we will promise instead, and it is written into section 5a of the Terms rather than only here: if any of the three commitments above changes, we will publish the change and email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. Thirty days is enough to read what changed, export everything your league has -- free, on every plan, no phone call -- and go elsewhere if you want to.
Until then, none of it has an asterisk. If you see an ad on LeagueBucket, get a sense your data has been sold, or hit a paywall on a stat you should be able to see for free, tell us at support@leaguebucket.com. That is a bug in how we are running the business, not a fine-print exception, and we want to know about it.
