For bowling leagues
Your league secretary's spreadsheet, without the spreadsheet.
Enter the night's scores and LeagueBucket does the rest of the recap: handicaps, averages, points, standings, and the high games everyone asks about.
It was built for a real weeknight handicap league, so it handles the things that come up every week: a bowler who's out, an empty seat, a sub, and someone who's still establishing an average.
Every feature below works today, apart from the short list at the end. Items marked with a plan name are priced in that plan, and paid plans aren't on sale yet. Everything else is on the free plan.
Scores and the scoresheet
Frame by frame, or just the game
Key in each ball on a scoring pad and the scoresheet fills in as you go, 10th-frame bonus balls included. Or type each bowler's game total on a team grid when that's all you have.
Fouls and splits recorded
A foul is kept as an F, not a zero, and a split can be marked on the ball it happened on. Both count toward each bowler's stats.
Lanes and lineup order
Record which lane each team bowled on and the order its bowlers went up. The schedule shows the lanes and each night's pins.
Handicaps and averages
Handicap your way, or scratch
Set the base and percentage, say 90% of 220, and each bowler's handicap is worked out from their average. Leave them blank and the league bowls scratch.
Establishing averages
Choose how many games a bowler needs before their average counts. Until then they bowl scratch, and the handicaps for those first nights are filled in once the average is set.
Carry last season's average in
Enter a returning bowler's average from last season and it's used from their first game.
Absent bowlers and empty seats
Score an absent bowler at their average minus a set number of pins, with or without handicap, or at a flat score. Give a vacant seat its own score. Neither one changes anybody's average.
Subs take the seat
Swap a substitute into the regular's seat for the night. Scores already typed under the regular's name move across with them.
Points, standings and the weekly sheet
Points per game and for the series
Standings by points: so many for each game won and for the night's total pins, with a tie splitting the points. Teams level on points are ranked by total pins.
Ties settled the bowling way
Out of the box, a tie on points goes to total pins, then head-to-head, then a coin flip you record. Reorder the rules if your bylaws say otherwise.
Every bowler's numbers
Average, games, high game and high series (scratch and with handicap), 600, 500, 400 and 300 series, strike and spare percentages, open frames, splits converted, fouls, clean games and perfect games.
A leaders page
League averages, high games and high series, and team highs, on one public page. A bowler needs a share of the games bowled so far to be listed, so one good night doesn't top the averages all season.
What every league gets
Game reminders that send themselves
Everyone with an email on file hears about each game ahead of time: who, when and where. Nobody has to remember to send it.
One message to the whole league
Email the whole league or one team from one screen. Game reminders don't count toward the free plan's 50 messages a month.
Pages anyone can read
The league, every team and every player get a public page. No app to install and no account needed to look.
The schedule in their own calendar
Players can subscribe to their team's games from their phone's calendar. Move or cancel a game and the change shows up there the next time the calendar checks.
Ties settled by a rule you can see
Pick the order of tiebreakers once, before anyone knows who they help. The standings say which rule placed each tied team.
Start from the spreadsheet you have
Import teams, players and rosters from a .csv or .xlsx file instead of typing them in again.
DivisionsCommissioner plan
Split the league into divisions, each with its own standings.
Next season in a few clicksCommissioner plan
Start a new season with last season's divisions and each team's players already in place.
Your data, whenever you want it
Download everything as CSV or JSON, on every plan, without asking anyone.
See one running
Real bowling leagues that publish their pages on LeagueBucket. Anyone can look; no account needed.
What it doesn't do yet
Listed here so you don't find out after you've set up your league. Items marked on the way are being built. The rest aren't scheduled: if your league needs one, tell us.
