For trivia leagues
Read out the answers. The standings are already done.
A trivia night isn't one team against another. It's every team in the room at once, and LeagueBucket treats it that way: one night, every team's total, and a season table built from the scores.
Hosts can type the night's totals at the end, or score it round by round while the night's on so the teams can follow along on their phones.
Every feature below works today, apart from the short list at the end. Items marked with a plan name are priced in that plan, and paid plans aren't on sale yet. Everything else is on the free plan.
Scoring the night
One night, every team
Each night is a single game with every team in it. Enter each team's total and its place, and half points are fine.
Round by round, if you like
Record each round's number, category and question count, and each team's score for it. The rounds add up into the night's total, and a total you've typed yourself is never overwritten.
Fix a round after the fact
Mistyped a team's picture round? Edit or delete that round instead of starting the night over.
The room can follow along
While a night's in progress, the league's page shows which round you're on and each team's running total.
Every round on the night's page
Once it's in, the night's page lists each round with its category and question count beside the scores.
The season table
Ranked by total points
A new trivia league ranks teams by the points they've scored across the season, which is how most leagues already do it. Nights won still show beside it.
Ranked by nights won insteadCommissioner plan
If your league goes by who took each night, switch the table to a win and loss record.
Co-winners on a tied night
When two teams tie for the top of a night, the results screen gives both of them the win rather than calling it a draw.
Ties in the table
Out of the box, teams level in the standings are separated by total score, then nights won, then a coin flip you record. The table says which rule decided it.
A championship night to end the seasonCommissioner plan
The top teams on season points play one final night. Everybody starts at 0, or you give the top seeds a head start, and the night's winner is the season's champion. A tie at the top goes to the tiebreak you record.
What teams look at
Each team's own numbers
Average score, best night, nights played, night wins, top-three finishes and average place, on every team's page.
A page for every venue
Each venue gets its own page showing the night being played there now, what's coming up and what's been played.
What every league gets
Game reminders that send themselves
Everyone with an email on file hears about each game ahead of time: who, when and where. Nobody has to remember to send it.
One message to the whole league
Email the whole league or one team from one screen. Game reminders don't count toward the free plan's 50 messages a month.
Pages anyone can read
The league, every team and every player get a public page. No app to install and no account needed to look.
The schedule in their own calendar
Players can subscribe to their team's games from their phone's calendar. Move or cancel a game and the change shows up there the next time the calendar checks.
Ties settled by a rule you can see
Pick the order of tiebreakers once, before anyone knows who they help. The standings say which rule placed each tied team.
Start from the spreadsheet you have
Import teams, players and rosters from a .csv or .xlsx file instead of typing them in again.
DivisionsCommissioner plan
Split the league into divisions, each with its own standings.
Next season in a few clicksCommissioner plan
Start a new season with last season's divisions and each team's players already in place.
Your data, whenever you want it
Download everything as CSV or JSON, on every plan, without asking anyone.
